ABOUT CHEF EFRAIN TORRES
Born: August 20, 1990 (Age: 35) Hometown: Tecate, Baja California A Mexican chef, officially certified by the University of Advanced Studies in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. His love for cooking and influences began at an early age, learning from his mother, as well as being inspired by the flavors and traditions of Baja California. He grew up in a family-oriented and homey environment, where some of the household traditions included cooking with firewood and raising farm animals. He has worked in several kitchens in his hometown of Tecate, Baja California, always emphasizing smoky flavors, fresh ingredients, and the wide variety of seafood available in Baja. As an instructor chef, he has shared his knowledge on Televisa Tijuana.
